The "Share Your Love of Canadian Magazines" contest creates excitement around the category, with the purpose of encouraging consumers to reengage with the wonderful print medium and to create top-of-mind awareness that will increase magazine sales in stores.
Based upon a very adorable video that Magazines Canada produced last year, the contest builds upon the romantic theme of "Anything Can Happen".
Consumers that enter, only need to share their love of magazines and they will have the opportunity to win a trip to 1 of 6 romantic Canadian destinations! Cities that have been named Canada's romantic getaways: Charlottetown, Edmonton, Halifax, Kelowna, Ottawa or Regina. The contest runs until February 5th, 2016.
Magazines have continued to experience declines as consumer habits continue to change. However, the category continues to provide high profitability for the allotted space at retail. There are also several magazines that are seeing significant growth, as they have established a value formula for their consumers.
